How To Install Mud Flaps FORD F150
We have our first product for our F-150 EcoBoost project. It's the WeatherTech no drill mudflaps. The reason we went with the weather tax is because WeatherTech has a great name for a designing perfect fit, nice digital fit products that lasts a long time. We love their match, which we're going to be doing for this project also.
But first we're going to start out with the no mud flaps. Basically what we're going to do is we're going to walk you through this whole, operation here. How we can put the mudflaps on the truck.
So if you want to check out the weather tech mud flaps, go ahead and go to carlifeguru.com definitely recommend them.
The good thing about the no drill is we're not drilling through any metal, so we don't have to worry about rust down the road or anything like that. Included in the kit is the two mud flaps and instruction manual and the mounting hardware.
Let's go ahead and show you how these mud flaps go on. You don't have to lock tight on them.
Step 1. Put on the mud flaps into place there.
Step 2. Tighten up the clamps.
Step 3. To put the included a bolt.
The one thing I really like about this kit also is a stainless steel hardware. So you know, you're not going to have a problem with it rusting or anything like that, especially on this part of the vehicle. It's always good to have stainless.
Now you need put the bolt through on the bottom there and he's going to use the seven 16 wrench to, uh, test the bolt to it, tighten and lock it into place. And, that's pretty much it.
Next, you gonna cut out the existing uh, plastic push pin there and he's going to push through the pen because we're going to use that existing pole with the supplied bolt.
Now you going to loosen up the bolt, the existing bolts on the bottom. Slide the mud flap on it, hooks into place. Put the supplied screw on, where we already cut out that plastic rivet and uses the stubby to screw it into place. And behind it we're using the gear wrench seven 16.
Mud flap installed in less than three minutes. And you can see the finished product. The mud flaps are installed and they look great. It looks like a factory OEM product. All WeatherTech mud flaps are designed to fit your vehicle. So the install might differ a little bit from this, but we definitely love the added protection and they're definitely a quality high quality product.
